    maxon presents precision electric drive systems for aerospace at Farnborough International Airshow

    maxon will present its range of DC motor drive systems for aerospace, space, and drone industries at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, 22-26 July, on Stand 4028. maxon UK & Ireland’s dedicated engineering team will guide design engineers in drive system specification for applications in fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, space rovers, and satellites.

    maxon boosts research investments despite sales decline

    The strong Swiss franc, the difficult economy, and the late effects of the Covid-19 pandemic are reflected in the maxon Group's 2023 results; sales amounted to CHF 664.4 million last year. Important pillars are the industrial automation business areas with CHF 286 million and medical technology with almost CHF 200 million. A highlight in the past fiscal year was the Indian moon mission, in which maxon motors were used.

Taking place on Wednesday 15 May, 120 engineers attended drive technology seminars and took part in one-to-one application design talks.

    maxon has released an ultra-compact, programmable multi-axis motion controller for up to six axes. The new maxon MicroMACS6 master controller provides high performance motion control in a package just 55mm long, enhancing embedded design integration for robot and machine builders. Integration flexibility is achieved with communications interface options including USB, CANopen, and EtherCAT.
