Eugen Elmiger has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the maxon Group since 2011, leading the company with dedication and strategic vision. He joined maxon in 1991, where he played a key role in expanding the company's sales operations across Asia. Eugen holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and has completed executive education at the University of St. Gallen and Stanford Business School.

Norbert Bitzi, Chief Financial Officer since 2012, oversees the company’s finances. He is a certified Swiss accountant and controller with an MBA from the University of Bern.

Dr. Stefan Müller has been leading innovation and development as Chief Technology Officer at the maxon Group since 2022. He joined the company in 2017 and holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Stuttgart.

Andreas Richter has been our Chief Operating Officer since 2020 and plays a key role in implementing the company's business strategy. He holds the position of vice chairman at maxon Group. Andreas has a degree in industrial engineering and a master's in strategic management.

Roger Villiger has been serving as Chief Sales Officer since 2024, maintaining close contact with our customers. His career at Maxon began in 2009 as a sales engineer, providing him with an in-depth understanding of the company. Mr. Villiger holds a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Zurich, where he also completed an Executive MBA.

Dr. Bianca Braun has been Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the maxon Group since 2026. She inherited her entrepreneurial spirit from her father. A member of the Board since 2008, she has served as Head of the Audit Committee since 2012. She holds a doctorate in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.

Dr. Karl-Walter Braun is the principal shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors of the maxon Group. He joined the company in 1974, continuing the legacy of his father, one of maxon’s co-founders. A defining figure in the company’s history, he continues to actively shape maxon’s direction and is still a regular presence on campus.

Tanja Braun has been a member of the Board of Directors of the maxon Group since 2025, becoming the third member of the Braun family to serve on the Board. She studied architecture at the University of Innsbruck before dedicating herself primarily to raising her family.

Dr. Andreas Casutt joined the maxon Group's Board of Directors in 2014, specializing in corporate law, contract law, mergers and acquisitions, and stock exchange law.

Former maxon CTO until late 2021, he now serves on the Board of Directors. Over 14 years, he led the company's research and development and established a global R&D organization.

Kurt Meier, an independent entrepreneur in international mechanical contract manufacturing, has served on the maxon Group's Board of Directors since 2018.

Tax expert, Dorothea Zünd-Bienz, joined the maxon Group's Board of Directors in 2004 and has been on the Audit Committee since 2023.
