Head of Marketing
The Head of Marketing oversees all marketing activities within the organization. They are responsible for developing strategy for maxon US marketing, managing the marketing budget and ensuring consistent brand messaging across various marketing channels.
The Head of Marketing oversees all marketing activities within the organization. They are responsible for developing strategy for maxon US marketing, managing the marketing budget and ensuring consistent brand messaging across various marketing channels. This role requires a global mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with maxon sites in different countries. The Head of Marketing must understand and adapt to diverse cultural and market dynamics, ensuring alignment with global brand standards while tailoring strategies to regional needs. They will work closely with international teams to drive cohesive marketing initiatives and support the company’s global growth objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and direct the marketing department, including setting goals and objectives, with marketing strategy that aligns with the overall business goals
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
- Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform strategy and innovation
- Coordinate marketing efforts with the maxon Group globally
- Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization and participate in the annual planning of company objectives
- Target appropriate trade magazines and organizations for advertising and promotions
- Develop solid working relationships with editorial staff at applicable publications
- Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings
- Identify, coordinate and participate in appropriate trade shows for our products
- Develop a lead generation / internet marketing program to assist sales team in developing larger customer base in their territories
- Drive and oversee creation of marketing documents, PowerPoint presentations, press releases, internal newsletters, and other material
- Create content for email campaigns, e-newsletters and for positioning in various promotional online media channels
- Forecast, draft, implement and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for Marketing department
- Track and analyze program effectiveness to determine ROI and prioritize resources
- Utilize in-house marketing automation system and CRM system to improve MQL processing
- Prepare and participate in Group Workshop in in Switzerland annually

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- BA / BS in Marketing, Communications or Business / Management required
- Proven experience as Marketing Manager, leading a Marketing department and team (experience working with global teams / international experience preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale marketing teams and strategies
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, analytics platforms and CRM systems (HubSpot and Salesforce a plus)
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal communications and project management skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft - Office functionality required, as well as Marketing-specific software such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Thorough understanding of market developments and marketing strategies
