EPOS is short for Easy to use POsitioning System. The CiA® 402 positioning controllers from maxon can easily be integrated into an extensive range of master environments, from single axis systems to highly complex multi-axis applications.

Robotic, analysis, and handling systems require compact integration of a large number of energy-efficient drives, combined with highly dynamic controllers and a linked bus system. With EPOS4 Modules from maxon, individual multi-axis systems can be implemented using CANopen or EtherCAT without major development costs.

The free EPOS Studio software offers an intuitive user interface with many tools, such as:
